In this article, we will teach you how to set or remove a password on the MTA server. This solution is suitable for any installed build on a game hosting platform.
Step 1: Go to the server control panel.
Step 2: Click on the “Control” button next to your server.
Step 3: In the menu, select “Config” and wait for the configurations (mtaserver.conf) to load.
Step 4: Press the F3 key for quick search and enter “password” in the search field. The configuration editor will take you to the line with the password.
For example, we have set the password <password>123</password>, which means the server login password is 123. You can set any password using Latin letters and numbers instead of 123.
If you want to remove the password, the line should look like this: <password></password>, which means there should be no values inside the line.
Step 5: After making the changes, click the “Save” button. To apply the changes, you need to restart the server through the server control panel.
